Distinctive + Organic

Anna Salibello’s pottery is distinctively organic, purposely echoing the beauty of imperfection found in life. Her work shows the strong influence of the Japanese “Wabi Sabi” aesthetic with a range of teacups, sake cups, and vases available.

“The clay is the material, the companion, the teacher, mother, child, the sparring partner, the beloved with which I’m finding my way through life and into my life.”

— Paulus Berensohn

Fire inside Anagama kiln

Wood-fired Art

Much of Anna Salibello’s pottery is fired in a kiln fueled by wood, an Anagama kiln.

Stoking wood into the kiln, alive with flames, continues around the clock for three to five days. Temperature reaches about 2400°F.
